James Rodríguez is hoping that Radamel Falcao eventually follows him from Monaco to Real Madrid.

Rodríguez and Falcao were teammates at Porto before Falcao headed to Atlético Madrid in 2011 and were then reunited last year when they both moved to the French principality. The two also play together for Colombia.

"He has a winning mentality and that's what Madrid want -- I really hope he goes there," Rodriguez said in an interview with Spanish newspaper AS.

"I've been playing alongside him for four years, we were only separated when he was at Atlético. I'm sure he is good enough to play for Madrid, but I'm not the one who decides whether he comes or not.

"He could play for Madrid because he's a quality player with a winning attitude."

Atlético Madrid is not pursuing a deal for Chicharito, Santi Cazorla or Fernando Torres.

All three Premier League players have been linked to a transfer away from their respective clubs.

"Many names have been said, but Cazorla, Torres, Chicharito, Callejon — none of them are on our agenda," Atleti president Enrique Cerezo told Radio Marca.

José Mourinho has publicly said that Fernando Torres will not be sold this summer amid reports of a transfer back to Atlético Madrid.

Chelsea have overhauled their attack in acquiring Diego Costa and Didier Drogba, replacing Samuel Eto'o and Demba Ba.

"Three strikers is fundamental in a squad and we have three strikers. Fernando, Didier and Diego so one of them is not [going] for sure," said Mourinho.

Chelsea is considering a transfer for Edinson Cavani, who had mixed results in his first season at Paris Saint-Germain.

Chelsea has been quoted a transfer fee of £40 million to acquire Cavani and he would prefer a move from France to the Premier League.

In order to make a move for Cavani, Chelsea would have to move a foreign-born player.

Cavani would give Chelsea the type of pace that José Mourinho prefers.

Romelu Lukaku will join Everton on a £25 million permanent transfer from Chelsea.

Lukaku scored 16 goals for Everton last season while on loan.

Lukaku will sign a five-year deal with Everton after he also received interest from Wolfsburg, Juventus and even Real Madrid.

Lukaku joined Chelsea in an £18 million deal from Anderlecht in the summer of 2011, although the initial fee was £11 million plus add-ons that are unlikely to have been activated given he made just four starts Chelsea.

Southampton insists that they will reinvest the $165 million they have received as they have sold off a huge portion of their team this summer.

The Saints have raked in around $165 million in transfer fees through the sales of Dejan Lovren ($34M), Rickie Lambert ($7M) and Adam Lallana ($44M) to Liverpool, Luke Shaw ($53M) to Manchester United and Calum Chambers ($27M) to Arsenal

“Our summer activity is definitely not a fire sale, every penny of that will be up for reinvestment as transfer fees and wages,” Ralph Krueger’s told TalkSport’s Drivetime.

Marco Reus has rejected a new contract offer from Borussia Dortmund and he's now being pursued by Manchester United, Barcelona and Bayern Munich.

Reus scored 21 goals in 39 gameas last season.

Reus' current deal runs through 2017, but he has a $48 million release clause.

Fiorentina won't sell Juan Cuadrado for a transfer fee under €50 million.

Cuadrado has received interest from Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Manchester United.

"If an offer of €50 million were to come in, we would be willing to open talks. But there's no such offer as of yet," Prade told Sky Sports 24.

"We hope that Cuadrado will continue to play for Fiorentina. There has not been an official offer for him.

"We are in constant contact with the player and his agent. He will return to the club on August 4 or 5. We will then talk with him."

Manchester United is holding discussions with Napoli on a sale of Marouane Fellaini.

Fellaini was bought last summer by United from Everton for £27.5 million under David Moyes.

United prefers to sell Fellaini and any fee in the region of £15 million would be considered a win in recouping the initial transfer fee.

Fellaini’s disgruntlement at his troubled year at United was evident at the World Cup when he was asked about his Old Trafford experience. “I have played eight years as a professional, so I don’t need to prove [anything],” he said. “I always believed in myself.”

Morgan Schneiderlin and Jay Rodriguez will leave Southampton on a transfer to Tottenham Hotspur.

Southampton has sold players this summer for a combined fee in excess of £90 million.

Southampton is taking the view that any player who expresses a desire to leave will be sold if their price is met.
